I know you ate the last cookie.

Steroids; why? Why not? Some researchers say that Steroids could be used responsibly. That there are no grave side effects of steroid uses. That there are no cases where steroid use has directly lead to death. But of course that just means that the correlation between the above average heart attack rate and the use of steroids would have to be completely coincidental. The interview say the only side effect of steroids are the fact that they work. This is the exact argument for steroids. There isn't any direct proof that steroids increase muscle mass. People that take steroids still have to lift weights and exercise meaning the direct result of exercise causes an increase in muscle and the steroids only aids the process. Steroids have become the standard for sports in general because the standards continue to rise. It is the nature of all competition, it is the nature of humans in general. To continue to become the best and disregarding health and ethics to do so has becomes the only plausible way of breaking any record. Competition is a great way to improve ourselves, but at what cost. What is the cost of becoming the best; hair loss and mood swings? Do we take social recognition so profoundly that we are willing to deal drugs and raise the risk of heart attacks? Apparently so.

Hey man, I know. Help me steal that garden gnome!

College is more than just about higher education and degrees. It is a social experience that is unlike any other. People from all over the world gather to develop themselves and to have a good time. But schools such as Georgetown University is trying to limit the social aspect of the experience. They have created rules that limit the number of people at parties in college-owned housing and the necessity for the hosts to register their parties and take a lesson in safety and liability. But the new limitations are not working. Andy Solberg said that within the first few weeks of school the complains from nearby home owners have increased as college parties have moved from inside houses to the neighborhood backyards (qtd in Kinzie). The violation from the

Ideally, only 10% of a paper should be cited quotes. But as James D. Lester explain students tend to have continuous quotes in papers by having an abundance of direct quotes.

Who needs weapons when they have guns like these.

Women aren't the only ones with who have disorders regarding their looks. Men can become obsessed with their muscle size. A research that studies common household toys in relation to average ideal body shape uses various action figures to chart their scaled proportions throughout a few decade time span. It shows that in the past 10 years, the bodies of GI Joe action figures have more muscle mass than the human limits. The research also shows several comparisons between the same character but created at different points in time. However the research has some flaws dealing with the correlation between children's playthings and ideal body types, and it also lacks standard distribution within the analyzed action figures. But this doesn't create any less of an issue; the distortion of the ideal body is becoming an increasing problem throughout all of America. As we dive deeper into the issue, we find men with disorders analogous to eating disorders found in women such as anorexia.
The fact that the problem can be seen in dolls and action figures is also troubling for future generations. We can analyze the trends and realized that the distortion will continue and create an even larger generation of body perception disorders in men and women.

Chow time

It's lunch time, your starving, you skipped breakfast to get to work. Now you can finally bite into that sandwich. Your waiting in line, and look at the small piece of paper in you hand. A large 42 stares back at you, as you hear from across the counter, "number 40". Your only 2 insignificant people away from that glorious lunch. Its finally your number, and you pick up and stare at your beautiful sandwich. It's a perfect pieces of bacon and ham, with a wonderful melted piece of cheese, balanced with cold pieces of crunchy lettuce and tomatoes, and all of it between a pair wonderfully toasted piece of bread. The first bite is magical. The ingredients blend together to perfection, and nothing can tear you away from your lunch. Most people have felt this before, the perfect meal. It's a rare occurrence, but when it does, it's magical. But, there are people that have never experienced the amazing meal before, in fact for them the slightest thought of having that sandwich that even made me hungry, would make them disgusted instead.

Anorexia is a serious life threatening problem. To intentionally starve yourself, in order to fit a social image. It is common to think that everyone would be against such a horrible act, but that is a false statement. There are groups that choose anorexia as a lifestyle. A group of people called pro-ana who create communities based around anorexia. They try and support each other and accept their anorexia, but anorexia isn't something that should be accepted. It should be actively rejected, it should be treated and opposed instead of accepted.
By accepting anorexia, it creates an image that not eating for days is a plausible lifestyle. As Claire stated in the Envision text, "you do drugs, you die; be anorexic, and you're ganna die in a year.' I knew that they kind of overplayed it and tried to frighten you away. So I always thought it can't be that bad for you." (273). Claire eventually continued to become a member of a pro-ana community. As the community grows, people will continue to underestimate the severity of anorexia, and people like Claire will continue to expand the pro-ana motion. A vicious cycle that promotes anorexia and the death of young women everywhere.

On the flip side
Pro-ana communities doesn't directly promote anorexia. In fact they are trying to minimize anorexia by taking a passive stance. By learning about the root of the problem and solving the cause of the individuals anorexia instead of the anorexia itself. This could have a higher success rate because it decreases relapse. By having a close supportive community, the suicide rate would be lower than communities of larger size.
Pro-ana is about helping those who are past the point of no return to cope with the disease. Anorexia is not something that can easily be contracted or suppressed, but the group can help them feel better about themselves and the way they live.

No, YOUR a fallacy

That damn robot technology, it's going to kill us all. First the robots will take over our army. Then comes the world domination. We're all Doomed.
Unless the biologists finish cloning raptors. Then we could successfully oppose them.
